MALKINS BANK PIGS
SUMMER COMPETITION 2024

The competition for the Malkins Bank Member PIGS will start from Wednesday 1st May for a period of 6 months, ending on 31st October 2024. As this is a NEW COMPETION, Andrew will continually review and update the Rules. The format and Rules are as follows:-
 
+ Primarily based on a Stableford Order of Merit , 18 cards to be submitted, of which the best 16 will count. (a strokeplay and Par 3 Order of Merit will also be recorded.).
+ All 18 cards must be used for the WHS and MUST be pre-registered on the "PIGS WHS WhatsApp Chatline" as normal (see *note below)
+ There are no set days to submit a card, however, if playing on a Friday this game should be mandatory.
+ In addition, games can be played on any day of the week but must be in the company of at least one other member PIG.
+ A general target should be 3 games per calendar month. The mandatory requirement is a minimum of 1 game and a maximum of 5 games (for catchup purpose only) each calendar month ( unless exceptional circumstances)
+ All games to be played using the Rules of Golf (NO GIMMIES). Local Rules must be adhered to (posted on the outside of the starter hut near to the 1st tee).
+You must record your own shots and a playing partners shots, and double check before submitting hole by hole shots on WhatsApp. Any reliable method can be used to record scores.
+Scores to be submitted in an 18-digit format ie

+As there is a Strokeplay Order of Merit, you should complete all holes until reaching 5 over par.
++ No other "Malkins Bank" games to be registered on the WHS, thus restricting 'carded home social games' to a reasonable number. (Society games and optional away days will continue to be used for the WHS, in adition to the Summer Competition).
